Portal Business?

This package can help you dominate local niches, find hundreds of new customers, and make fortune selling leads, services, or advertising in your local community, city, region or state.

About my experience – I have been consulting with small and large businesses, Nonprofits, and governement organizations for 15 years, mostly focused on large ecommerce sites and portals. I helped architect a site that processed millions of dollars of tax payments, worked on a site that at the time was the largest store on eBay, and I helped develop several award winning city and county government portals. Now my son and I have a portfolio of over 100 websites we run, plus several smaller city portals and sites for our offline customers. Among other things, we also have a LinkWheel creation service at LinkWheels.com and we sell keywords lists and information at NicheResearchSystems.com. I know a lot about keywords, local websites, and SEO traffic.

Where did this project come from? Even though local search is growing at an enormous speed, keyword research for local search has been difficult to do, and resulted in very inconsistent data.

Until now, that is.

I decided a month ago to begin to do extensive keyword research around numerous large and small cities, and then combine that data to try and paint a clearer picture of the local searches people are doing. As I began to look at the data, I decided that besides using this information myself, I needed to package it for my current customers and my Warrior friends.

The first product I am releasing based on this research is simply a list of the top local search keywords across the cities I researched. I stripped the localization portion of the keyword phrases and created two important keyword lists.

If you have a creative, entrepreneurial mindset, your creative juices will start overflowing when you look through these lists. The possibilities are endless.

The first list is the Money keywords. These are the buying keywords that people are using to find a business, product, or service in the particular area where they live or are planning to visit.

Using the Money keywords – these are ideal for article writing, adwords campaigns, lead capture pages, blogging, directory categories, tags, linkbuilding, videos, and much more.

Monetization – website content around these keywords could be monetized for your area by either capturing and selling leads, finding appropriate CPA or affiliate offers, selling advertising to local businesses, or just using the list to help you find leads for your offline gold consulting business.

These are the keywords that many people are using to search locally, so search Google to see who is showing up and then your services to them or sell your services to the businesses that are not showing up.

Traffic Keywords. The second list I am providing is the informational keywords people are using for local search. These may not be buyers, but there is a lot of traffic and you can probably rank easily for these words. Simply create a article on your local site or portal with links to additional sites with more information, and do some simple SEO and linkbuilding and you can generate a lot of local traffic. You can then begin selling ad space on those pages to appropriate adevertisers who are interest in targeting that audience.

Local Modifiers. The third list includes the 9 local modifiers, or keyword patterns, you need to use with your local Money and Traffic keywords. You simply create multiple combinations of the Traffic or Money keywords with the City/State keywords.

City/State lists. These lists of over 100,000 US cities and states, and they are provided in three flavors for use with the 9 local modifier patterns: “City”, “City ST”, and “City State”.

These are perfect for create thousands of long tail keywords for a niche that targets an area, state or region. Use them for linking and content creation, and you will find lots of traffic with almost no competition.

More coming soon - I am still compiling this data, but I will soon release an updated version of this package that will not just include the keywords, but will include a ranking of the keywords by traffic and competition – not for a single city, because the traffic data can be inaccurate, but from compiling, combining, and adding relative ranking across searches from the numerous cross-section of cities I have researched. This updated research data will be provided for free to customers who by this current packeg, but the price will go up when the update is available.

And I also have a feeling that once you all see this data, you will have ideas for even more – so send me your suggestions.

So, let me summarize everything that is included:

900 Local Money Keywords – use for lead generation, CPA offers, ad sales, finding new customers

132 Traffic Keywords – informational Keywords you can use for articles, traffic generation, or link text and then monitize with ads.

100K+ US cities and states

Most of you have probably seen the recent promotion for Howie Schwartz “36 Money Pulling Niches” which is being given away at IMRemarkable.com. As soon as we downloaded and reviewed this document we decided that we needed to conduct comprehensive keyword research for each of these niches to see for ourselves what opportunities exist for competing in these niches. Some of the niches took quite a bit of research before we found some good keywords, but in the end we found that each niche had at LEAST 40 or 50 excellent keywords that we could begin targeting for SEO traffic.

Different methodologies exist for selecting target keywords, but the starting point is finding keywords with the highest number of daily searches and the lowest competition.

We begin by looking at the monthly search volume for a keyword phrase, and search for keywords related to our niche that have more than 50 searches per day (broad). We use a variety of tools to come up with as many related keywords as we can that get 50 searches or more per day.

Next, we go to the Google SERPS (Search Engine Results Pages) to check for the number of competing pages for that exact phrase, entering the phrase in quotes in Google search box. Based on our experience, we find that less than 10,000 competing pages is often a pretty easy phrase to rank on the first page for, less than 50,000 is usually achievable with a little work, and anything under 100,000 may take a little more time, but is still usually manageable without spending a lot of money. In our keyword reports we include keywords with less than 100,000 competing pages.

Next, we add a few more numbers that help us evaluate the keyword. We check the search volume for the keywords using Phrase and Exact match. We look specifically at the ratio of searches between Phrase and Broad match (PBR) and remove the keywords with a ratio of less than 10% because it is probably a phrase that does not really get the indicated search volume.

Google gives a lot of weight to the title of a web page, so the next number we look at is the number of competing pages with the keywords in the title of the page. A low number here means the phrase will be particularly easy to rank for.

Lots of phrases get searched every day, but that does not mean it is a phrase that will be worth taking the time to rank for. Most of us are looking to find keywords that will make us money, so an easy indicator of this is looking at how many ads are running in Google Adwords for that phrase. A low number here probably means other advertisers have not found the keyword to be profitable. A high number means there is a lot of competition for advertising, so the price of running an adwords campaign could be high but that also means using SEO to get your site ranking for this phrase could make you a lot of money and it would make your site worth a lot of money.

Finally, we look through the list a final time and make sure every phrase looks like it is logically related. Sometime we will find that we have some strange sounding keywords that are really not related but may be the name of a movie or lyrics from a song.

In the end we have created keyword lists for 46 different niches (he added 10 more in a document published after the original 36) that Howie Schwartz has found to be money-making niches, and we will be making all of those for sale on this site in the coming week. You either buy individual lists, or we have broken them into 5-niche collections (Volume 1-9) that you can purchase at a discounted price.
